LOL No. Just because they're both heavy genres doesn't mean shit. They're still to be treated as different genres. Just as different as Jazz and Metal. I can't stand most Punk, but that doesn't mean I'm a "poser" I'd be a poser if I was like "Oh I'm so Hardcore/Punk." when I actually hate Punk. I say I'm a Metalhead/Metal as fuck and I love METAL. That has nothing to do with Punk.
