My assistant just had to buy a new truck because he put 1700 into it 5 months ago and was gonna need to put another 3200 into.
Sounds like he bought a car without having a third party inspect it first. That's an issue with buying used cars in general, not the brand. Obviously Suburus are more expensive to fix but if they're properly maintained they're known as one of, if not the most dependable car brands around for longevity.
Sent somebody home tonight because it was Fucking dead and he just got pissed. “Why am I even on the schedule then?!” Dude just stfu and go home or find a different job lol.
Tomorrow's a crossroads. Either the kid inside me wins and I get a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, or the rational adult in me wins and I get a 2017 Kia Sorento for less money.
Got to tour for a couple weeks with these guys about a year and a half ago, really proud of how far they're going. They'll be at the top of the metallic/metalcore scene.

In a constant mood of being excited to photograph shows, to wanting to just give it up and sell my equipment because I'm never satisfied with my edited results. Only I don't actually know what to do to make it better, I only know I'm unhappy with it.
Real talk. Got an insane tour offer just for it to be retracted a week later, feeling shitty/depressed over it all cause it just seems like nothing I can say or do will convince anyone to give me that chance. I don't even care if I got paid much, I just need one tour where someone is opening for a band with lots of friends in the svene/industry. Just feels like its not ever gonna happen.

That's every artist everywhere. It's part of the gig. Everyone is excited with the work you did but all you can see are the flaws in it. It's seeing those flaws that make you work harder to find ways to eliminate them. This will bring your work to a higher level, only to find new flaws along the way. When you stop seeing the flaws your work will stagnate.
Only difference is that now it doesn't make me want to work harder lol. I cant just keep doing as many shows as possible if nothing is really coming from it. I feel uninspired about it all, more than anything.
There’s a guy i chat with from a pick trading group that is a photographer and offers classes to help photographers that want to get better with concert photography. He regularly works with misfits, Trivium, slayer, lamb of god. He’s out of NYC if you’re interested I can give you his name.
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
Love the feeling when you finally come to terms with the fact that someone who you've gone above and beyond out of your way to help them, could not be bothered to answer when you needed it.
