But they're responsible for half the risk. Everything else is environment and choice. Then there's addictive personalities..which cause you to be addicted to anything from video games, fishing, food, drugs/alcohol, etc. I've known people to drink from the time they wake up to the time they sleep. I've also known others to be high functioning alcoholics. The ones that don't let it interfere with work, school, relationships, etc But still drink some type of alcohol every day. It's all very tricky and while genetics can have a little push in alcoholism, it's not the sole fuel behind it. At least what I have seen and gathered in my almost 26 years walking this earth
