So there's a costco opening by my house, I work at Sam's Club. Apparently when the last costco opened nearby, they tried to steal the meat cutters from this sams and they all stayed. Yeah man they might be about loyalty but I'd get the fuck out if they offer me a job when I apply. Their starting wage for my position is double what I'm at after a year.
This would be a good decision. Costco is well known for being an excellent employer. I know several people that work there and they wouldnt leave for anything.
Yeah I'm handling a knife all day, I've used the bandsaw a couple times but generally let the older dudes do it. Someones gotta cut the steaks at walmart don't they? We're not considered "butchers" because we're just cutting shit that's already been carved and trimmed for the most part. I'm just throwing doing steak and roast cuts basically.
do you also have to pack the meat you cut up? Would it be fair to call you a meat packer?
