He's just very different. He's a fine dude. Like I haven't had any major issues yet, and he's pretty nice. For one thing he's hardly ever in the room. Mostly he hangs out at his old freshman dorm. When he is in the room, he's usually in the suitemate's rooms, who he knew and was friends with before move-in.
Mainly though he's a little more high strung than my other roommates. Like me, my first two were more chill and go-with-the-flow types. You got hot, you turned the air on, I got cold, I turned it off. He actually sat me down to talk about when it was ok or not to turn the air on. I'm like, "dude just do what you want. I'm one of the most laid back people on campus, if we have an issue I'll let ya know." Or like how he apologizes profusely for bumping my desk.
Then cleaning... My past roommates and suitemates hardly ever cleaned. Maybe the bathroom like once a month. Maybe vacuumed like twice a semester. It just wasnt an issue. If something was bothering someone, they took care of it. My roommate this year created a weekly cleaning schedule for us and our suitemates. I'm thinking, "weekly? good luck with that".
And the primping/preparation is a little different too. My past roommates would shit, shower, get dressed, and leave. Sometimes even skip the shower. This year, my sink is COVERED in hair products, lotions, and colognes. Of the things on my sink, I have one soap dispenser. He's been taking like three showers a day, and takes like an hour to get ready in the morning. So I have to kind of adjust my morning schedule to be earlier than him.
He's just a lot more planned out and not as laid back as I'm used to is all.
Rex is right though. It sharpens your cleaning skills to live with clean people. I have 2 friends that have never lived anywhere clean in the 20 and 10 years I've known each and not only do I get embarrassed for them when I see their apartments, but I just don't wanna stop by most of the time
I actually am. I have a lot of clutter on my desk, but my floor is pretty clean. And their is order in the chaos of my clutter. I just dont vacuum and do deep cleaning often, cuz fuck that

don't vacuum
If you do regular maintenance cleaning like this dude wants, you dont have to deep clean ever
It would actually kill you if you weren't an asshole for once, wouldn't it?
I was just giving you some advice :-??
0. Cleaning is a waste of time.
