I was in Atlanta once last year. I didn't think it was that bad, but I was there for work, so I literally got to the airport, got on the train and walked to my hotel which was right across the street from the Varsity and the GT campus. I didn't see a whole lot, but that area seemed alright.
that's midtown. all along peachtree street is relatively decent because there's a heavy police presence. it's a business/tourist area. if you'd gone about a mile north, you would've needed a gun
and jay, alabama is pretty but it's also boring as fuck. i stayed out there for a few months back in like 07 while i was getting my shit together after a suicide attempt and i felt like i was watching paint dry every day
You do have to drive a ways in any direction to get anywhere, that's for sure. Or at least that's the case where Lea is. Definitely a change of pace when you can get to downtown Detroit in less than an hour from where I live. I personally liked it.
Everybody knows Alabama fucking sucks Don't be a simp
I've got no reason to be a simp lol. It was just a refreshing change whenever I visited there. I like it. :-??
alabama is scenic, but it's non-stop boredom and the people there reflect that because they do what i call "boredom drugs" like pills and meth to compensate. they also gossip too much about each other because they don't have anything else to talk about.
also, alabama is completely devoid of culture. when i went out there i had been doing a lot of film work and people acted like i was an alien when i explained what i had done. the kids out there don't know shit about music. they think foo fighters are fuckin' punk rock
