I'm not surprised you're loving it, just that you seem to be hella hyped on it. There are some sounds on the record that aren't conventional to hip-hop at all and could possibly stray people away, such as the screaming on I Am A God and the production on On Sight. But I guess really it's not all that shocking.

You know this isn't a feminist group, right?

I used to have this recurring dream like 10 years ago where there was a door in my great aunt's house that led to like this old abandoned museum, and every time the dream would end with my cousin getting thrown against the wall by the thing from Alien and his glasses would fall off.

I used to have these weird dreams set in a world where kudzu was spread everywhere and science had created these weasel-dog combos to eat the kudzu but the weasel dogs turned on us and they plague the land like zombies

Aight, so I did my first front to back listen of Yeezus. Thoughts:
- It's much better when listened to as an ALBUM. Which is a double edged sword. On one hand, Yeezy's always made albums that flow amazingly and sound better when listened to as an album. On the other hand, this shit is so fucking erratic that that's really the ONLY way it sounds good. A lot of the really random and ambient outros only sound good when flowing into the next track, rather than coming to an abrupt stop. On the other albums, yes, they all sounded better as full albums, but listening to single tracks by themselves didn't ruin them, like Yeezus does.
- Black Skinhead is prolly the most turnt up shit I heard in a minute. Gonna be looping a lot at the gym. I also noticed an old Manson sound to it. Being that this is a forum of people who listen/used to listen to Metal, I can't be the only one who hears it. Sounds like something off ACSS.
- Guitar outro on Hold My Liquor is fucking beautiful. One of Yeezus's brightest moments. Moments like that is when music transcends music. That shit took me somewhere else, can't wait to give that track a listen while faded.
- Guilt Trip is prolly my favorite overall track, which shows where my tastes are at this point. Soft melodious shit wins me over now, and it even shows strongly in my own music in Lone Star.
- Bound 2 was such a relief to hear, shows that somewhere, even if for only one track, Kanye still has a grip on his roots. That track is beautiful. But again, he fucked up. That "I know you're tired of lovin', of lovin', wit nobody to love." Sample was singlehandedly the best sample in the album, and he coulda done so much wit it as it's own track, but instead he randomly throws it into the rest of Bound 2, where again, it sounds erratic and throws off the flow and feel of the rest of the track.
As of now, I'll give it a 7/10. Even if I genuinely really like it after a few more listens, this is still his worst album. Disappointed.
