I thought it was planned a long time ago? Save the money you're going to use now to put toward the move?
The lowdown:
I live on campus currently The apartment were I live comes out to about $800/mo 1. It's not worth that much 2. Parking is an additional $750 Without my car on hand whenever I need it, I my availability to work is limited
I'll be staying at a new, off-campus apartment in Jan which offers free parking to residents. That'll open up my availability much more and I'll be able to put any extra cash aside for the move.
This has taken a lot of planning partly because this internship is unpaid. I'm doing it out of passion and for the experience/getting my name into the limelight.

A parking pass at A&M is $275 for the year and I think you pay a little in your student fees for shuttle services. We don't need bus passes to my knowledge (never rode the bus on campus)
And that's the other thing. The free bus (called the Orbit) that goes from outside my apartment to the place where I work takes anywhere between an hour and an hour fifteen. And it stops running at 11, which means I can't take closing shifts during the week, which is what 70% of the shifts up for grabs are because nobody wants to close <_>
There's a new seriously hot black chick named Stephanie working at Gamestop, and when i was looking around she saw my Braves hat and said she was a Braves fan too, and she loves metal and sings, so we exchanged numbers and she might come sing on a song or two on Sunday when my friend who plays guitar and I record some stuff.
