I don't know, it just seems like the bass is being as minimailstic as possible. I got bored with it the most during the guitar solo. And I know, I shouldn't be paying attention to the bass during your sweet solo, but I couldn't help but notice how boring the rythm section was. The least your bassist could do is throw in a few octaves every now and again. You should tell him to learn some chord shapes and stuff, so he can make more interesting bass lines. Just find out the chords you'd be playing during a section, and teach them to him, so he can just kinda fool around with 'em.
