He wasn't the star...that blonde chick was. And why would he decline a role by a director he likes working with? And I never liked any of the chocolate factories because I wanted to punch every stupid kid in the face. At least Depp's version had cute squirrels in it
I see no news about a Wizard of Oz remake....I see this....
"James Franco is reportedly onboard to play the wizard in The Wizard of Oz prequel The Great and the Powerful, but is Mila Kunis joining as well?
Vulture reports Black Swan actress Mila Kunis, 27, has walked away from the Hughes Brothers-directed live-action '80s remake Akira in favor of the Oz film.
The film’s director, Sam Riami, and James Franco reportedly approached Kunis to play Theodorah, the younger sister of Evanorah, who eventually becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.
MTV reports that after a meeting with Kunis, she was deemed perfect for the part, which made Franco officially accept an offer to star in the film.
The two stars’ involvement in the film has yet to be confirmed, however. There is also little known about the plot, except that it is a prequel to the original 1939 film."
But nothing about remaking the original. And Depp is a damn good actor. He plays all the weird and quirky roles so well....Jack Sparrow, Sweeney Todd, etc.
On the way back home, on my street, I saw a Possum that had to have recently got hit. There was a trail of blood by it, and it was struggling and dragging itself to the curb, it looked so hopeless. Shit almost brought tears to my eyes. I really hated seeing that, it's different when they're already dead and/or smashed, but seeing them struggle like that in their last moments, hurts a lot. I wish I could've helped it.
Oh god Erik I know how you feel. I saw one with its body half ran over, meshing with the concrete... Thank god my dad called animal control so they could put the poor thing out of its misery.
