What did you ship them in?

Personally I wouldn't send anything bigger than an envelope usps.

Buy the best quality shipping stuff you can and just charge the buyer is my best advice.
    A box designed for comics

Nothing ever fucking goes right. Been selling my comics and shit. Sold a set of Ghost Rider comics for $50. They got fucking bend in the mail. Buyer wants a refund. So now I gotta deal with a post office dispute, and Im out $50, and my mint 1st printing 2011 first Alejandra Ghost Rider comics.
So I refunded dude the shipping cost ($10) and offered him an additional $10 off the comic lot. He said "that's not enough, these comics are barely worth $20 now"
This is after I was nice enough to cut him a deal going from $60 (my listed price) to $40.
So he wants comics I listed for $60, for $20 and this is what the damage looks like

Like I get the spines have damage now, but at a certain point you're just taking advantage

You pay for mint, you want mint. Saving $20 isn’t gonna cut it. Long after that $20 is gone, you’re still gonna be looking at the damage.

I get that, but its also not my fucking fault. So now Im out of the money, and out of the books. Cuz insurance is 100% not gonna cover it.

    Life is so fucking gay

You didn’t use a big enough box to prevent that from happening either.

I used a box literally designed to ship comics. I get them sent to me this way, Ive sent dozens of other orders this way. USPS fucked up.

Honestly this is both sides. I get him being upset, but are those damaged? I can't tell.

Best thing to do in these situation is to pay for him to ship it back and refund him.

It sucks but it will get you good reviews which ultimately if you want to keep selling is important.

I told him I would do a return/refund when he first reached out. He's just annoying me.
I personally would have accepted the partial and then sold them myself. But whatever. Im just irritated. It's been one of those weeks (months, years) where nothing seems to be going right

Yeah I feel you. Selling stuff is a pain in the ass when you aren't at a store front.

People expect you to bend over backwards for the. I basically only use FB marketplace at this point to buy stuff, because any time I've sold stuff people are just annoying af.

I can’t see shit for damage either lol

The spines have (slight) creases in them. The creases broke ink. This means they went from like 9.5+ comics to 9.0 comics in graders eyes. But this buyer said these were for readers, so it shouldn't matter lol

Regardless, dude is just being unnecessarily annoying. I told him to initiate a return through Ebay and I'll refund him, but he hasn't done it yet lol

You ever gonna use them again? It is possible to go above and above the minimum standard.  Standard practice for shipping a poster is a 3” tube and some craft paper. I’ve seen too many posters get damaged that way though, so I’ll only send a tube in another tube. I have bent record sleeves from people sending records in a standard mailer. Wood paneling is cheap as shit. So is a sheet of insulation.
Both will prevent bending no matter how hard the mailman tries to shove it in a mailbox. If it’s even close the the size of a standard mailbox, they will try to shove it in there no matter how many times you write do not bend on it.

You have to idiot proof the shit you send.
