Worked a double last night and then accidentally slept through municipal court for my registration ticket. Thankfully caught the court clerk right before they closed
such a dick flex tho. "just so you pawns know whos in charge, we're using the money we could have used to make the workplace better to make you go out of your way to get a piss test."
Found out yesterday that my wife's dad has stage 4 cancer in his chest, kidneys and brain. 6 month expectancy untreated, up to 2 years if he gets treatment (he starts next week) I'm not too sure of the specifics but I guess it is one of the more treatable forms of cancer. He lives in KC Mo so we will be heading down that way as often as we can. Hopefully I can catch some shows down that way because the 2019 concert schedule I was hoping for just came to a halt.
Thanks. Not much I can do but give the wife all the support I can. It's gonna be a shit show but we'll get through it either way it goes. COA, Metallica GR and a few other shows are now officially off the table though. I might encourage the wife to visit during the same week Metallica is in town, but with everything up in the air right now that one might be too short notice to pull off.
