Headphones crapped out in the middle of my shift. Phone doesn't recognize that they're plugged in anymore. Gotta resort to a pair from the ear bud graveyard in my locker for now and deal with one side shorting out.
Here's a pro-gun bill that I'm against. I wouldn't mind if they just changed the legal age to 18 but you should definitely take a class and pass a test if you want to carry firearms in public. I guarantee accidental deaths would skyrocket if this passes, which it prolly won't.

I'm 100% with you, except I'm torn between having it at age 18 or 21.
On one hand I'd say 18 because you're legally an adult at that point. On the other I'd say 21 because the majority of 18 years olds these days truly don't understand how to use a gun, or how to know when to use or not use one. But i do agree that regardless of age, we should be required to pass some sort of test like you would getting your driver's licence,
I'm all for having the right to defend yourself, but I'm not about putting guns in the hands of the incapable (people with mental illnesses, children etc)
If you can serve in the military or get tried in court as an adult, you should have all the freedoms any other adult has. Thats why they should have to take the class though. 18 year olds can already buy rifles and shotguns, you just have to be 21 to buy handguns.
Yeah i agree. It should be an extensive class. I just dont put faith in 18 year olds not to make a mistake in situations that may or may not require a gun.
It's kinda true that anyone who's not a felon or mentally unstable can buy guns (and it should stay that way) but a lot of people just leave em in a safe or the dresser next to their bed in case someone breaks in. Even those people should do their research before buying one but you should definitely be required to take a test for a concealed carry. If everyone could just walk around with their guns, there would be a huge increase in assault by pointing a gun (I don't know what they call it in other states but that's the name of the charge here). The class here is 8 hours and they told us "using your gun should always be your last option" at least 5 times in the two days I was there.

If the gov can give you a gun and send you overseas at 18, you should be able to have one here too.
I'm not saying I'm against that, just that I agreed with people having to be tested/licensed for it. The only time I am against it is giving them to people with mental illness that make them incapable of thinking rationally.
