Its not an interface/update problem, the store is being gay.
All i'm trying to do is purchase $2 worth of music to finish an album. I can't order a hardcopy online yet, and I have some extra iTunes money, so why not? But every time i change page on iTunes I have to re-sign in. Then when I try to make a purchase, it ALWAYS asks me for my security question/information saying "this is the first time this computer has been used to make a purchase", which is not true. I don't know the security question answers, and am usually able to bypass it. But I can't this time. There is no was to reset them. And I have now been locked out of my own account, with no way to verify its legitimacy for 8 hours.
I just want to reset my fucking security questions. I made the account like 7 years ago, and don't remember what they are. And iTunes/Apple is so fucking retarded I can't view their forums without signing in - which I can't now because I'm locked, and they don't have an email support address. And their help page looks nothing like the actual account information page.
