The only other thing I can think of (kinda like a last resort) is the military. So many people I know have enlisted and its changed there lives in such a great way! I was a member of FYE's frequent customer program. I paid $25 for a year of in-store discounts and rewards points. When the year was up, I paid $25 to renew the rewards card.
Or so I thought. Apparently, they signed me up for the wrong card, or didn't inform me as to their changing my card plan. They have two cards, one is a $25 one-time fee for a year of FYE benefits, which is what I thought I signed up for - AND what I paid for. But they signed me up for the plan that is one month free with a $12 MONTHLY charge until cancellation.
They signed me up for the $12 monthly plan despite my purchase of the $25 yearly WITHOUT TELLING ME, AND WITHOUT MAKING IT KNOWN THAT THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE.
I didn't even know that there was a difference, and just thought they changed they design of the card, since my two cards looked different. I signed up for it over the summer.
Flashforward to today, I'm checking my credit card bill and I have $12 FYE charge. I haven't been to FYE in months, so immediately I'm suspicious. The way it was recorded on my bill wasn't a typical FYE purchase too. Googled the format, and turns out a lot of people are reporting it as a scam/are taking action against it, etc. So I immediately look into my specific card.
Turns out they signed me up for a VIP pass instead of a Premium pass, like I wanted. I didn't sign off on their using my credit card information, and I'm smart enough to see a phishing scam when I see one. So I didn't knowingly subscribe to the monthly pay model.
Called the store, they can't refund me without a receipt. I purchased the card months ago, I no longer have the receipt. Called customer support - after waiting on hold with THE MOST ANNOYING BACKGROUND RECORDING IN THE WORLD for 45 minutes, I finally talked to some Indian dude who just tried to sell me more shit, and get me to keep the card. After he refused to give me a refund and change my card from VIP to Premium, I just cancelled the card completely. So since May I've been paying $12 a month to FYE for services I didn't ask for, nor utilize.
I also didn't catch it sooner, because I've been away at home, and my parents have been paying my bill using my bank account, and they just thought I was going to FYE every month. There is no FYE in Nashville. I happened to get my bill being home, and noticed it. Looking at my past bills, its on there.
Called my credit card company. They've issued a claim. They're going to try and get me back whatever money they can. I doubt they can do much, but even one month will be appreciated.
It's bullshit. I placed my order and was given a 40 minute delivery time. Then I get a call back and this guy says the operator didn't know my location was closed. My next order is free tho so I ain't irate. I still don't have food though so I'm upset.

I'm going to report to the BBB soon too.
I still have half a bottle of jager and a gram of cotton candy. I'm gonna make that pound of bacon at some point.
