I never put my hand over my heart and never say the pledge of allegiance. Even in elementary school I thought it was bullshit that they wanted me to swear my allegiance to some country that is nothing but imaginary borders. Always seemed stupid to me. If I was ever going to swear my allegiance to something, it would be my friends and family. Now that's something I would die for; I wouldnt die for some imaginary line on the ground or die because some rich dude with some made up title of nobility tells us poor people to wage war on their behalf. fuck that, and fuck the pledge of allegiance
