So I ended up going. Fucking AWESOME. It was definitely an experience watching it at my work. Reeked of weed, security was in there every 10 minutes kicking some dumb shit out and yet we still managed to have fun.
Mine was less crazy. One pit up front during hit the lights oh and it's being made into a DVD. Also Lars and all his talking at the beginning pissed me off
I went. Was fucking awesome. Anthrax did a Heaven and Hell jam during Indians, Slayer and Metallica both were pretty good too.
Except....Dave Mustaine sounded like absolute SHIT. He must have a cold or something cuz when he sang it sounded like a fucking care bears voice. It literally took everything I had to hold in my laughter. You could see him shaking his head like he knew it sounded bad.
Everything was pretty calm at my show...until Slayer came on. Everyone started screaming Slayer and thats when the toking began. I didnt because I didnt wanna get kicked out. In the middle of Slayer everyone stood up and started headbanging and shit like an actual show, and that continued through Metallica.
The entire audience gave the Dio segment a standing ovation, people started singing random Dio/H&H songs. Im not gonna lie that made me kinda teary eyed.
it was fun last night. I had 2 G/A tickets and my wife could not go, so i traded the 2 tickets for 1 VIP ticket. The crowd was lighter than i thought it would be. About 20 in the VIP area, and about 50 down below in the G/A area. There was one kid that was going nuts during Slayer, ran up to the screen, pretty funny. He was joined by 4 other kids during South of Heaven, having a small pit. The workers looked a bit confused. I learned that if this big 4 tour came to the US, i would be dissapointed. 45 minutes is not enought time for Anthrax, slayer or Megadeth. Sound was turned down for Anthrax, could barely hear Charlie on drums. Then was very loud about midway thru Holy Wars in Megadeth's set, stayed that way for the rest of the show. i can't believe i am actually sore from headbanging at a movie
after sitting thru the other 3 sets, i found metallica a bit boring. could be that i worked all day and was tired. i love metallica live, but i just found their set last night boring
the crowd at my show chanted Dio a few times. Me and one other guy kept on doing the random Slayer yell. The crowd bood Lars a couple of times when he was speaking
i was pissed that the crowd at the live show was not into Anthrax or Megadeth, or the beginning of Slayer, at all. they get the big four show, and they sit there with their arms crossed.
