Hostel is a good gorefest, but I don't know about horror.
Drag me to Hell is creepyyyyy. And it's based on semi true events. All but the, ya know, draggin' to hell part.

Emily Rose was actually a good movie.

I can't wait to see The Last Exorcism. Eli Roth and the makers from Dawn of the Dead(perhaps the best zombie movie to come out in a very long time). Also show in Blair Witch style shooting. Should be good
