Next week is going to be rough if we can't defend the run better. It seems that we make the necessary adjustments on defense at halftime, but I'd like to see our defense bring that intensity on the first drive, especially on our defensive line. We're going to struggle mightily in Big Ten play especially if our defensive line doesn't get more push.
That and the pass offense was either Denard not throwing anywhere near the target, or the reciever dropping it when it was on target. But they say that could be because of the arm injury he had limiting him this weak. That and he can pass when he has to.
This Ohio State/Miami game is hard to watch. I thought it'd be fun to watch Ohio State playing from behind, but goddamn both sides are full of suck.
My initial thought was that his arm was hurt, but then he goes deep a couple times, so he can't be hurting that much. Either way running him 26 times is something that I do not want to see again. If they want to get his passing game going, just stick to short passes. Borges is a West Coast offensive coordinator after all.....let's start small.
I don't know if you were at the game or watching on tv or something, but the guys calling the game made a good point that he looked like whenever he goes deep, he looks like he's trying to aim the ball and just not throwing naturally. But yeah even the short passes were off, just a little pop to the back of the end zone went over I think it was Kogers head.
I'm in the band, I have to be at every home game lol. I think he'll get better at it, he's just so good running that his initial reaction is to run, run, run. Inaccurate throws don't bother me as much as the poor decisions. I know he can throw the ball on target when he wants to.
