First of all, let us understand what it means to be happy. Happiness is a state of joy or overall contentment. It also is a portrayed as a range of emotions from excitement to pure glee. Happiness can be triggered by many things such as people, talking, inanimate objects or even animals. With this in mind, how can one say money does or does not equal happiness? My take on the whole situation is this. If money can buy people, conversation, inanimate object and even animals, than yes money does equal happiness. However, the philosophical side of me believes that not everyone in life has steeped to the dreary pits of shallow, selfish self-servitude that they can be bought. I myself believe only in certain situation I can be bought, even so eventually I would grow bored of the buyer and go about my ways. So taking both aspects into mind, I agree mostly with Strat "money facilitates happiness." However, I would like to add to that and say "money facilitates happiness for a short-time".

focus on the good stuff life gives you =D
Money buys 99% of them.
something along those lines? Maybe throw in more variables, parentheses and maybe brackets?
money does not equal happiness but does equal less frustration and stress which in turn may lead to happiness depending on the type of person you are.
And my answer to the above question is no, even though without money I wouldn't be able to go to concerts....
