a little late on the show here, but England blew it again. We can't win for shit. Every year we say "it's our year, it's our year" but it never is. That disallowed goal screwed up; we lost all momentum, but that doesnt cancel out the dismal effort we put forward altogether. The England/Algeria game was quite possibly the worst game i have ever watched out of the thousands of games i've watched. We don't deserve to be WC winners. Whole teams need to be cleaned out. Get the young guys in there. Lampard and gerrard CANNOT play togetheer, although we've known this for the last 4 or 5 years, yet we still try it. Rooney was crap. So was Green. So was everyone. I never thought i'd say this, but copy the Germans. Flood the youth systems' it's payin off for them now.
"Spain don't just have one Messi, who is able to make a difference on the pitch, but several Messis who can decide a game," Loew said. "They're a team that doesn't make many mistakes, far fewer than the likes of England or Argentina. They're very organised, they work together both in attack and in defence, they're a great team."
they might do that, but they're not gonna win the WC imo. It's Hollands to lose. I just hope, hope for everything, that those damn germans dont win it.
The thing about Spain is that they've been playing together for almost 3 years... they're basically an all-star mutant club fused between Real Madrid and Barcelona; they play like a club plays. (not like a national team plays)... ERR, well they used to up until the U.S. beat that ass.
The thing about Germany is that they're a bunch of kids... plucked from the U-23 national team because of injuries or other physical setbacks. They're playing THE BEST football in all the world cup; they're a fucking machine. Unselfish, unrelenting and the kids aren't taking their shot at the WC for granted. How's that saying go? Football: The sport invented by the English, but Usually won by the Germans
Which is something that a lot of Nations can take from Germany (especially Mexico)... you have to have confidence in your young players and accept the next generation when it arrives.
Argentina was star-studded as well... but they never played as a team. First off, Maradona had the worst coaching performance out of the entire 32 teams during the W.C. He had full blown strikers playing the midfield. Di Maria trying to show up the entire front line and just ruining any chance to score. Messi (THE MOST DANGEROUS PLAYER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD) was receiving passes behind the midfield line in the game against Germany.
I said it all along; aside from the forwards... Argentina had absolutely nothing. Nobody had the balls to take advantage of it until the Germans.
Comments
Spain is a one/two man team...."
WTF SON!
Spain has like 11 Messis
Spain has like 11 Messis"
Who's been scoring all the goals...?
but is not like he's the only one to touch the ball
everyone in that teams does something
EVERYONE
dont play smartass with me
you're wrong
or let me quote Loew

even Uruguay might impress us
