Argentina plays great with the ball and usually dominate in possession....and your team just lost to south africa....im saying Mexico could keep it close but i think Argentina is a far better team
"That's also because Argentina played some meh offensive teams."
agreed but Mexico didn't exactly play well in its games against meh teams.....bottom line is its one game and anything can happen...i just think when it matters most Argentina will play its A game...shit what did they use 7 different starters today and still beat a pretty good GRE. team pretty easily
oh yeah my bad...got games mixed up you lost to a pretty good team....but i just feel Argentina is too good.....Mexico has to play flawless to win if Argentina doesn't fuck up....which is entirely possible...im just saying i dont expect it to happen...but thats why they play the games
Argentina isn't a possession team... fuck, for all i know; they really don't have any strategic scheme. And they don't really need it; with such a talented offensive line.... All maradona needs to say to his midfielders and defenders are "Get the ball to Messi" or "Cross it towards Higuain"
To be a possesion team you have to start from defense (where Argentina is at its worse) and you need a very solid midfield that will win A LOT of balls.... and the only really solid player they have in the midfield is Mascherano (even though he's fucking incredible; you cant get it done with just 1 dependable midfielder) Veron just isnt cutting it anymore.
Mexico and Uruguay are mirrored in tactical schemes.... both use 4-3-3 formations and play to possess the ball. It was just that one mistake, on Mexico's defense, that gave Uruguay the win. (And another mistake early on which the Uruguayan forward couldn't put in the net)
I think Argentina will gladly concede possession of the ball to Mexico; knowing Mexico isn't a good finishing team and hoping for that mistake(s) Mexico always seem to make in big games that kill the team. TBH... im a little scared of Messi; he hasn't had his breakout game and he's going to be looking for it. I hope Marquez and Maza are up for it.

If Mexico can eliminate the errors on defense and capitalize on their offensive chances... it will be a toss up
The less he plays, the more of a chance Mexico has of winning. (You math wizzes in here should be able to come up with a simple equation for that)
