Nah, regional. I'm pretty much only back like Saturday nights and Sunday so it's difficult to plan shit. Get home on average probably 9pm on Saturday then I gotta be back at 6am on Monday usha
Oh damn. The company I'm gunning for only guarantees the 34 hour reset but publically state drivers are home on Friday/out on Monday 75% of the time.
I'm sure you guys can eventually hopefully find a balance but my uncle has been a trucker for years and has loads of cash but no time to enjoy it lol part of that is on him. But he just got a new house, finished the basement and bought surround sound systems and 70 inch TV's for the living room and basement, buys the best everything and then complains about how he doesn't even spend time enjoying it.
I think the poor guy is depressed though and one of those people that keeps themself distracted with work. He's "retired" more than once but went right back to working.
We'll see. There's tons of local/home every night work up here in the Northeast but most of it requires experience. I'm also mainly doing this to get my finances in order before finishing school online
Yeah it's crazy your first two years. After that, alot more jobs open up and you have the freedom to choose a local thing because more companies begin to pay attention. Before that two year mark, it's basically take what you can get and most of it is over the road or regional.
I was honestly debating it but they called today and I'm leaving in like an hour to start my work week lol there was a problem with one of the relay loads I had and now the paper work is a mess and it's stuck in my name so I have to take care of it. North Carolina here I come.
