The North Island is ranked second in the world for the best place to get a tattoo.
Tauranga has more than 10 tattoo places, with most having more than one tattooist.
People get tattoos for all kinds of reasons, whether it is a spur of the moment tattoo or something that has deep meaning to the person getting it.
Travel bible Lonely Planet has released its Best in Travel 2013 and lists New Zealand ahead of USA, Japan and Morocco for the places to get tattoos.
Wat Bang Phra in Thailand is the best place in the world to get a tattoo, according to Lonely Planet.
“Think ‘Maori warrior’ and an image of a fierce-looking dude with blue tattoos swirling across his face appears,” Lonely Planet commented on its website.

“It’s like a history on the skin for those who know how to read it. Traditionally artists made their mark using a bone chisel, though today they tend to use less-painful modern technology,” the website goes on to say.
“True ta moko is sacred, so if you’re Mike Tyson or otherwise non-Maori, you can get a similar-type motif called kirituhi.”
That's such a cliche tattoo at this point, like nautical stars and crosses, but I do admit that they look dope, especially when done by the right artist.
I'm thinking about not getting anymore tattoos. Simply 'cause I wanna get into fitness modeling or bodybuilding competitions, and tattoos are frowned upon in both, since they hide muscle definition. I guess I could always use Dermablend for shoots/shows, but idk.

Did you not read a single word I said, you fucking moron? I'm fine wit my current tattoos, my point is that I don't wanna further fuck myself and get anymore that would cover me up even more.
Got this done while I was in Chicago a few weeks ago. It's my own design. This is a pic I took of it when I first got home from that trip. It's almost done healing up, so I'll post a picture in a couple days of how it looks now.
