I thought it was well worth it. It's nice to have the ppv version cuz they will never be able to release all of it hahaha
It had a lot of good moments, and it was awesome to see Axl in a Gorgeous Frankenstein shirt. I kinda laughed at Taz taking half the match to start calling Balls "Kahoneys"
Al Snow had a great promo tonight. I feel Tilly was a terrible idea and the crowd confirmed it. You could tell in the street fight that they were really limited due to the audience not bringing weapons. I was surprised by the lack of a pop for the Gangstas, and the Sandman was severely underutilized.
Raven/Dreamer was great, and Sabu/RVD was pretty damn good. It just shows how awesome RVD/Lynn would've been but oh well. I'm sure they'll go at it again at some point.
I was stunned at what they allowed Gertner to say. You could tell he was limited though due to how brief his....interesting speech was.
The lighting added a cool effect, and at parts it felt a bit more authentic than ONS. However, it seems the match content was better at ONS.
All in all, I'm glad I bought it. Was it perfect, no, but it was a fun way to spend a Sunday night.
TUPAC IS DEAD/THE LEGEND IS GONE/THEY SAYIN TUPAC'S BACK?/DEM NIGGAS WRONG
But yeah, the only thing that really pissed me off about the ppv was how lame New Jack's theme was. If they would've boosted the bass, it would've sounded fine, but without it it sounded like a keyboard drum beat (because it probably was lol)
TUPAC IS DEAD/THE LEGEND IS GONE/THEY SAYIN TUPAC'S BACK?/DEM NIGGAS WRONG
Alright, I watched Hardcore Justice yesterday. Here's my take.
FBI vs. Diamond, Swinger, Kash
The match was pretty bad for the most part. The dance bit in the middle of the match was the only entertaining part of it. Smothers is still hilarious to this day. But, the match itself was a joke, and not in a hilarious way. What the fuck was Kash booked in this shit for? The guy's way too talented for this nonsense. 5/10
2 Cold Scorpio vs. CW Anderson
Both guys looked great, especially Scorpio. I swear the guy's better then ever. Seriously! At his age, his skills haven't diminished whatsoever. He looks to be in the best shape he's been in, in sometime. Anderson is just as solid as ever. These are two guys that TNA should heavily consider putting on their main roster, and then cut the dead weight. But uh, what such a short amount of time? Well that's easy. They would've stole the show hands down if you gave enough time. God forbid Scorpio and Anderson be the highlight of the show with Dreamer/Raven and RVD/Sabu on the card. Kash should've been booked in this match to make it a 3 Way Dance. 7/10
Stevie Richards vs. PJ Polaco
This match made no sense whatsoever. The fuck were these two booked against each other? Why did Richards come out on top? And why the fuck did Sandman fly down to Orlando to make a 40 second appearance? Should've been booked as Polaco vs. Sandman. Boring 5/10
Rhino vs. Brother Runt vs. Al Snow
Another match that didn't cut it. I didn't like the booking once again. There were a few decent moments in the match, but just another filler. Boring 6/10
Team 3D vs. Balls Mahoney and Axl Rotten
Decent brawl for the most part. Good to see Gertner and the Gangstas make an appearance. Did I see a curtain call at the end of the segment? Pretty lame. Also, anybody care to explain why this wasn't booked as 3D vs. Gangstas vs. Rotten/Mahoney? Yeah, didn't make sense to me either. 7/10
The "Where Are they Now" bits were cool.
Raven vs. Tommy Dreamer
One of the true great rivalaries to come out of ECW. Glad they did it one more time. Pretty good match for the most part. Unfortunately, there was something that killed the mood of the match. That was Mick Foley with Mr. Socko. Seriously, fucking seriously? It made no fucking sense to have that stupid sock as it had nothing to do with ECW. Match of the night though. 8/10
Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu
Another legendary fued out of the original ECW, if not the most legendary. The match was better then expected. But, of course didn't touch their past encounters. Sabu was in better shape then expected. As far RVD vs. Lynn which was originally set. Im glad it didn't happen, because RVD just simply doesn't cut it anymore. What Lynn and Van Dam did in the past were works of art to some. Watching that today, would be quite depressing to say the least. 7/10
For the most part it was pretty boring. Didn't care for some of the booking. Even though a few legit ECW vet fans were in attendance, you could pick out the pretenders. Tenay and Taz calling the event was joke. It's not ECW without Styles and Heyman, period. Sorry. Not a great show for it being a "one last stand". The alum that wanted no part of the show came out looking the best in the end. Absolutely nothing memorable is coming out of this. It was a forgettable show. The last real ECW event took place on June 11, 2005. RIP, now stay the fuck dead!!!
