"And yet, I dont. Stop telling me what I should and shouldnt feel."
I'm just telling you what makes sense. If the impacts of a man's short term decision negatively affecting his son's life is outweighed by your personal affection to the band then you are an inconsiderate son of a bitch.
It's not wrong to say that his death was an abomination. It doesn't take away from what he did to say he made a mistake and that this event is only made possible by a failure.

If Devin Townsend, an artist I respect greatly, committed murder-suicide tomorrow I would condemn his actions. It wouldn't mean his music had any less of an effect upon me, but what he did would certainly be wrong. And I would say that.

I NEVER said that the fact his child is going to grow up without a father wasnt tragic. If it sounded like that, then I apologize. I think its awful that his child is fatherless and that it is for stupid reasons. (I thought he was having a daughter?)

You focused so much upon his death that you made it sound like his over-dose was more important. His death isn't close to tragic, because it was self-inflicted, but the repercussions of his lifestyle and the impact of those repercussions on his child's life are saddening. So saddening in fact it makes me wonder what sort of person would endanger his own life at such a crucial stage.
