That ride was my favorite as a kid. Everyone has told me xflight is too slow. I think gatekeeper may have finally got that style right carrying a lot of speed
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
It got us to the exit area of the Millennium, so right before the area that's covered. From there we could get in line for any row.
The next day, we went to Soak City....it rained for a minute and everybody left. As soon as the rain ended, shit reopened and there was no line for anything. At the busiest point there was about 5 other people in the wave pool lol
Cedar Point's Shoot the Rapids flume ride experienced a failure around 6:30 p.m this evening, injuring several people.
The ride, built by Intamin AG, apparently had a boat roll back down its lift hill, flipping into the water. Riders on board were apparently submerged for a few minutes before anyone attempted to flip the boat upright. One person was reported to have severe head injuries. According to WTOL, Firelands Hospital in Sandusky reports it is treating one person. Word on the number of induries, the condition of the riders, or the true extent of their injuries, is unknown.
Park Spokesman Bryan Edwards said the park was working to confirm what witnesses saw and gather further details.
The ride area was eventually sealed and the area cleared by Cedar Point Police.
Each boat has a capacity of up to 10 riders. Shoot the Rapids has been operating since 2010.

According to early reports, a woman has plunged to her death while riding Texas Giant at Six Flags Over Texas.
Six Flags Over Texas has released the following statement:
We are deeply saddened to share that earlier this evening an adult woman died in the park while on the Texas Giant. Park medical staff and local paramedics responded immediately. Since the safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority, the ride has been closed pending further investigation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends during this difficult time.
Texas Giant originally opened in 1990 as a wooden roller coaster built by Summers and Dinn. It was closed in 2009 and renovated, where it became the first wooden coaster converted into a hybrid steel track/wooden structure roller coaster.

There is a risk in pretty much anything we do. People know this. I choose not to do rides because my stomach can't handle them not because I don't think they are safe which I don't think they entirely are. Ride at your own risk.
According to what my dad just showed me on some news station on tv they're shutting that ride at Six Flags down indefinitely. Which I think is stupid but whatever
Go figure it'd be Shoot the Rapids, that ride blows.
I enjoy it but its not the best water ride. I need to figure out if this happened on the second lift. There was a violent as fuck jolt going up that lift both times I rode it a couple years back.

I feel bad for the lady and her son but to say the park and ride should be shut down as well as all roller coasters is a bit ridiculous
