that kinda mad me sad......I don't really feel that much hate toward Lars anymore. He owes his whole career to Dio and I hope I can have a similar experience (being inspired, meeting a favorite band memeber, etc.) in my musical career it just seems so unreal
i have no words to describe the sick feeling i have. Dio was meant to live forever, not only in our hearts, but in our eyes. The metal community has suffered a tragic loss on this day. let all hearts sing out in mourning, for a true metal knight has fallen.
even though now he has gone, hes words and his music has to be passed on, i know that my children will keep the future rocking with Dio.
And a serious question, outside of the greatest hits album Warner released several years ago of his solo material (yeah i know, but its the only one i own), what would be the next best album of his to get from one of the many bands he was in.
"what would be the next best album of his to get from one of the many bands he was in."
Just about everything he did was great, my favorites are.....
Rising - Rainbow (must) Long Live Rock 'n' Roll - Rainbow Holy Diver - Dio (must) Killing the Dragon - Dio The Last In Line - Dio (must) Dream Evil - Dio Dehumanizer - Sabbath Heaven and Hell - Sabbath (must) Live from Radio City Music Hall - H&H (awesome live set. If you could get your hands on the deluxe edition, get it.) The Devil You Know - H&H (must)
Given how big a prog rock/metal fan i am, I'm actually shocked i havent' heard any Rainbow before tonight. Gonna def buy the album on amazon. I can def hear how dream theater was influenced by them

Ritchie blackmore really shows his classical knowledge in those first 3 albums... everybody involved in that band is incredibly talented
The cold without the warm
Light inside the darkness that it needs, yeah
We're a laugh without a tear
The hope without the fear
We are coming - home
