i am at work after not being here for 4 days. nicholas had his first day of kindergarden yesterday.....and laurie looks like shes about to burst. less than a month till the due date
Today is my long day. I have work until 4:30 and then go to class from 5:30-10. We're learing about CPR tonight. Which means I'll need some good caffeine before class.
Ugh. I hate this time of year at work. Health insurance renewal. And there is a 99% chance that I have to just drop it all together. Until last year I was always on an HMO and now we went with a company that only offers PPO. I've learned I hate PPO's with a burning firey passion. Plus rates last year were unaffordable for me, and with the renewal this year, they went up.
I pay $250 biweekly for insurance that has a $5k deductable before they start covering at 80%. I have a wife that is prego. i have just given up on medical bills
The rates only went up $4/week for a single person. But just the PPO (in my case, it's an HDHP) in general is not a good cost controller. I have an HSA, but that only provides as much help as I can contribute...which when you don't make a whole lot, isn't much. I have a $3k deductible to meet before insurnace pays 100%.
I have no idea. This is the first time ever that I'll be uninsured. I don't think so though, because the subject of health insurance has never come up when I've gotten my taxes done in the past.

pool has a lot of pine sap in it, and can't turn on the pump to clean it out
