http://www.azstatefair.com/state-fair/concerts.aspx Megadeth is the last band to play...the fair starts on Oct. 15th and ends on Nov. 7th. Downtown Phoenix is where the Coliseum is. I forgot you gotta pay fair admission too, so you could see them for 13 bucks and have to sit in the general admission spots in the back or pay 20 bucks plus the fair admission. But the coliseum is pretty small so either way would be pretty sweet.
A PERFECT CIRCLE has announced a five-city, multi-night tour for this fall with ticket on-sales slated for this week.

Shows in Phoenix (Marquee Theatre), Los Angeles (Avalon), Seattle (Showbox at The Market) and San Francisco (The Fillmore) will be three-night stops with each night featuring one of A PERFECT CIRCLE’s three albums in its entirety ("Mer de Noms", "Thirteenth Step" and "eMOTIVe"). A PERFECT CIRCLE 2010 is:
* Maynard James Keenan (TOOL, PUSCIFER) - Vocals * Billy Howerdel (ASHES DIVIDE) - Guitar, Vocals * James Iha (THE SMASHING PUMPKINS) - Guitar * Josh Freese (NINE INCH NAILS) - Drums * Matt McJunkins (PUSCIFER, ASHES DIVIDE) - Bass
Would probably go to the Mer de Noms show on Nov. 4.... but Megadeth is on the 6th and Dimmu Borgir and Enslaved is on Dec. 2nd so cash will be strapped that month or so.
So Mutiny Within had to cancel on the Nevermore tour but they're putting Blackguard on the bill so that should be cool from what you guys have told me about them

Mutiny Within pull off upcoming Nevermore tour We're sorry to say that despite our best efforts, our plans to hit the road with Nevermore this month have sadly fallen through. As many of you know, we have been looking forward to being a part of this tour and seeing all of our fans again. However, we feel that in order to deliver our best performance every night, our search for a full time drummer has to take priority. Instead of hitting the road with a temporary member again, we want to take the time to properly audition and rehearse.
We did have another drummer lined up to accompany us on this tour, but due to a slow visa process, rehearsal time was cut to an unworkable amount. Mutiny Within is not a 5 piece band and we need to find our 6th member to bring you guys what you deserve. We're so sorry to anybody who was looking forward to seeing us on this tour, but we cannot tour without a drummer. We know people will be upset and we apologize, but know that nobody will be more upset about this than we are. On a positive note, this gives us the time to work on brand new songs, which we've been looking forward to doing for some time.
If anybody knows a suitable drummer or you are yourself, then please contact us at mwdrumauditions@gmail.com. We hope you all understand this and will continue to support us. Keep checking back for further updates, thanks everyone. MW
Anyone who's seen blackguard, can you tell me how they do their flutes, whistles, hurdy gurdies, or whatever else they use live? Idk if they're a band to play recorded stuff over the PA for shows

Are you thinking of Eluveitie? Cause the only instrument I saw with Blackguard that was any different was a keyboard.
