In terms of nostalgic/campy fun? Sure. I absolutely love the original 3 TMNT movies, but saying that they're better made films than Dark Knight, Deadpool and Watchmen is just purely biased.
Yeah tmnt doesnt even register as a comic to my brain.It was a favorite growing up but it was a cartoon show/movie. I think the original probably came out before i even knew what a comic was.
Snyder gets latitude with me cuz Dawn of the Dead, 300 and Watchmen were badass. I also liked Man of Steel. There were 3 things wrong with BvsM, the scene with the Superman agents, the scene with Flash and the scene with Lois and the kryptonite scepter. Aside from those scenes and the overall movie being a little cluttered, it wasn't that horrible. I think trying to stuff huge chunks of the death of Superman and The Dark Knight Returns into one movie was just too ambitious. Suicide Squad though...fuck that was a misfire. All of this is made worse because the Marvel stuff just doesn't stop delivering. Marvel does more with bench players like Ant-Man, Dr. Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy than DC can muster with their cleanup hitters.
I just rewatched the first Guardians of the Galaxy, and it made me realize that if they remade it with Starwars, then the new Starwars would have been a lot better.
Novas = Rebels, who are now a strong government in the galaxy.
Rodin = Kylo Ren
Gamora = Rey
Star Lord = Finn
Rodin's men could have been a defacto empire group still around after the fall of the Empire, trying to rebuild.

I just fixed the sequel trilogy.
It was actually great \m/. LOT of great cameos and easter eggs for comic fans.
