Going to see Deathly Hallows in about an hour. Can't fucking wait. But I wish I had re-read the book. Haven't read since it first came out, so what? 2006 or 2007? I don't remember all the details. The book was amazing nonetheless though.

Harry Potter was fucking flawless. Best one yet, no contest. So dark and just...evil the entire way through. Marc hit the nail on the head, they perfectly captured the hopelessness, despair, depression, etc. Very dark tone the entire movie. And they ended it the PERFECT way to lead into Part 2. They couldn't have done that any better if they tried.
*Warning* SPOILER ALERT:
The opening scene with Voldemort killing that girl and then having Nagini eat her was probably the most brutal and dark thing ever done in any of the HP movies. It was the one thing from any of the movies that hit me as truly dark and "evil". Not just a typical "bad guy act" that was to be expected. It was literally just dark as Hell. Seeing her cry and beg for help from Snape was just chilling. I loved that. This is the first one where I can truly say little kids shouldn't really see it. Lol. The other ones weren't too bad.
Also, the part with Harry almost dying trying to get the sword was so eerie and done perfect. That's one of those things that always creeps me the fuck out at the thought of it, drowning with no one to scream for help, absolutely hopeless and helpless. They captured that feeling perfectly.

which is 10 mil below new moon, and about 20 below dark knight
Also, it made me smile that Nagini is a Retic this time. Lol. A CG Retic, but still. She's modeled after a Retic. Fucking badass.
But of course, more bad reputation for snakes. -_-

P.S.: Dobby dying was so sad. Lol.
