I think you guys are all delusional. It's one thing to be optimistic about your teams chances, but it's another to be completely blindly biased, which all of you are. You guys all sound kinda comical. I'm a White Sox fan, but i'm a realist. I'm not guaranteeing anything. They are the best team in the Central on paper, and one of the better teams in the AL on paper, but that doesn't mean shit. I am cautiously optimistic that they will contend for the Central and be pretty good this year but that's are far as I will go with it. The rest of you i'm not even able to take seriously anymore. It's one thing to be loyal and a fan of your team, it's another to make all kinds of bold predictions and guarantee's when you have no idea how it will play out.
Nope. They'll be in it like every other year, but their rotation is not as good as the White Sox or Tigers and once you get around Mauer and Morneau their lineup doesn't scare anyone really.
Rollins was very deserving of that award. The stats he put up as a leadoff hitter were unbelieveable.
Blanton is not unpredictable, he's been solid for us since we got him especially in the playoffs. Lidge is due for a great year, and If not, we have Madson.
Who gives a fuck about rings? I do motherfucker... It shows they type of players they are, they have expirience and know how to win.
I was mistaken about Ibanez, he had 30 2 years ago. 16 HR's is still very good for your 7th batter.
Phillies bullpen is not iffy, they have a good mixture of lefty's a righty's who will get the job done. they were great last year, and this year they'll just be more rested.
WHO GIVES A FUCK WHERE THEY'RE AT IN 4 YEARS? I want to win championships now. They have all the pieces, why are they gonna worry about 4 years from now. theyre doing what they need to do to win now. Is that why the Braves haven't been doing shit the past decade? Theyre worrying about 4 years from now? I mean they won the division how many times? like 10 in a row and only won one championship? <_>
Blah blah blah, I stick by my statement, Phillies, Giants, Reds, Rockies, all have better starting pitching, and possibly some others.
Utley is better than Uggla careerwise and 2010- onward. you'll see Utley is a hore, he's the best player on our team and the best 2nd basemen in the league. I admit he has some injury problems, but once he gets this knee thing taken care of, he'll be back stronget then ever. Uggla? GTFO man, he's nowhere near the status of Utley, the only time he'll be better than Utley is when Utley retires. Why are you so delusional?
*sigh* Phillies have the better bench, just look at the bench players stats from last year.
It's nice the Braves have a great bullpen, that should do them well when theyre down 10 runs to the Phillies every time they play. your bench is average at best and the Phillies rock proctor and sherrill on the regular.
Jones is done, and who the fuck is Prado? bench player at best...
dude, this is the most retarded thiung youve said, Bobby COx? cmon bro, youre a braves fan and you arent giving him the credit he deserves? GTFO. Who is your manager again this year?
Braves won't even make the playoffs, the wild card will come out of the central.
And you just brush out pitching staff away like it's nothing. Everyone of them have been an ace for our team or another. Halladay, Lee, Hamels, Oswalt, Blanton is not no joke. these guys will compete against eachother and feed off eachother, and learn from eachother. This team will win the division with ease. I'm not gonna say WS, cause we'll have to wait and see how the year unfolds, but I guarentee a division win.
dude, i get it. you have an exciting young, up and coming team, but they cannot hang with the Phils brah. you have to realize this. You prolly won't so talk to me in three months when the Phils have at least a 10 games lead in the division.
I am a diehard passionate fan for my teams, but at least I'm not delusional. Here's my stance on my Philly teams right now.
Phillies have a great chance with the players they have assembled, I think health is the only issue. They will win the division, from there, we'll see.
The Flyers are going to win the Stanley Cup.
The Eagles will make the playoffs, then loose the first or second round.
The Sixers are a few years away from competing.
"Rollins was very deserving of that award. The stats he put up as a leadoff hitter were unbelieveable." - Now that's just bullshit.
"Blanton is not unpredictable, he's been solid for us since we got him" - I don't think a 9-6 record with a 4.82 ERA is "solid", halfway decent at best.
"Who gives a fuck about rings? I do motherfucker... It shows they type of players they are, they have expirience and know how to win." - My point was, your players could have 10 rings, but it wouldn't count for crap as to how they will end up this year.
"Phillies bullpen is not iffy, they have a good mixture of lefty's a righty's who will get the job done." - And the Braves bullpen doesn't?
"They have all the pieces," - Except a great offense, i am not denying the Phillies have a great pitching staff, and they could hold down 1-0 or 2-1 games to the 9th, but what happens if Utley is out longer than expected, and Rollins starts showing signs of age and slowing down? Their pitching can hold the game, but pitching ALONE does not win ballgames. -------------------------------------------
"I stick by my statement, Phillies, Giants, Reds, Rockies, all have better starting pitching, and possibly some others." - Now that i rethink it, i personally think the Giants have the best rotation, and the youngest.
"Utley is better than Uggla careerwise and 2010- onward."
"*sigh* Phillies have the better bench, just look at the bench players stats from last year." I never said they didn't, i just said ours was solid.
"Jones is done, and who the fuck is Prado? bench player at best..." - I think Jones has 1 good year left in him, and Martin Prado? He only started the All Star game at second base and had the 7th highest batting average in the NL (Also Omar Infante had the 3rd highest), and Prado is going to be playing LF and Uggla at second, but Prado can play any position except Pitcher or Catcher, and still make the all star team.
"dude, this is the most retarded thiung youve said, Bobby COx? cmon bro, youre a braves fan and you arent giving him the credit he deserves? GTFO. Who is your manager again this year?" - He wasn't thinking right, he shouldn't have put Conrad at second when we had Infante, he started Brandon Beachy, a pitcher making his MLB debut, against Matt Cain? Stupid move, we could have at least beat the Giants if he had thought things through, and our manager is Freddie Gonzalez, formally the Marlins manager.
"Braves won't even make the playoffs, the wild card will come out of the central." No matter which way, i believe both the Philles and Braves will make the playoffs, if not, then oh well, but until the Braves are officially eliminated, it won't change my though.
I am not saying that the Braves are the best team, or that they're gonna win the World Series, but it annoys me when everyone underestimates them, they are a great and young team, we have what, 6 guys on our roster that's over 30 years old?

I really want to go to reds opening day vs the brewers but i was unable to obtain tickets from the reds so now I would need to go through a broker. For a halfway decent seat I am looking at 140 each. Should I get one and go
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
