youre acting like all we got is pitvhing though, we have 2 MVP's of the league on this team. Utley would be and MVP if it wasnt for injuries, a decent bullpen, and clutch guys of the bench. plus our fielding is excellent. Yhe pitching is going to win it for us this year, but you'll see games where they score over 10 runs.
I am glad some people discredit what the reds did as fluke only being a one year thing. Though I'd like to point out the year before when everything started clicking with all the same players the reds were the best team in baseball for the last month and a half 2 months but were way out of it by that point. Cincinnati is plagued though with teams that are good one year and suck the next I'd like to see the cycle broken and it will be. I believe in them this year. We can't all be the phillies or Yankees or red sox where every year recently those teams are almost locks to make the playoffs.
Oo and good luck to each and every one of your teams (minus Yankees) this year. I'm ready for baseball. March 31!
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
i think your teams gonna be good for years, theyre young, but it also depends on management, Jay is correct, they really didnt upgrade too much and I think that's why votto didnt sign a long term deal, there was players out there they could have went after. the management has to show players that Cinci is where they want to be and theyre willing to do what it takes to win.
I have a 1st place team in hockey to woryy about now. I firmly belive theyre going to win the Stanley Cup this year. I have to focus on that for now. Anythin short of the Cup will be an EPIC FAILURE and i'll be devastated for months.
The bullpen? WTF you smoking. Only questions there is if Willis can make the team lol. We shall be alright in left field as well. Say Gomes does what he did last year erryone is fucked. If he doesn't we have a kid by the name of sappelt that is ready to fill in along with yonder Alonso being converted. Brewers sucked last year and may be mediocre this year with the addition of greinke witch by the way the reds decided to pass on because we don't need him. The cardinals are the only ones that have a shot in my mind but those fuckers are going down. You stick to your tigers and I'll stick to my reds considering you know ass about the reds besides what happened in the playoffs.
I am trying to have a baseball discussion with you. It's not personal. A lot of things went right for the Reds last year and they didn't get far in the playoffs. Are they the favorites to win that division? Sure, and they should be because they have the talent and the youth. But youth is a double-edged sword and some players can fail to live up to newly raised expectations. The Brewers are dangerous in that division whether you choose to believe it or not. Zack Greinke is a hell of a pitcher and Shawn Marcum is great as well. Chapman is great, but he reminds me of Zumaya. Where does he fit, and can he stay healthy? You mentioned Jonny Gomes. What about Scott Rolen? And I don't trust Francisco Cordero to save 40 games a year, I'm sorry.
If I made predictions today the Reds would win the Central. I'm merely stating my opinion on why that division won't be easy to win whether the Cardinals are full strength or not.

I ain't hatin. I think the phillies are the team to beat this year however they will do that riding the pitching
