When every reliever he has blows it, I'm not sure what you expect him to do. Put in Rondon, he blows it. Gorzelanny? Blows it. Wilson? Blows it. I don't think Ausmus is back next year and he's not a great bullpen manager but he's got no help there right now.
I can't believe Dombrowski isn't going to be the GM himself. Seems like a waste of his talent imo.
I feel the same about Andrew Friedman in LA, Theo Epstein in Chicago and especially Pat Gillick in Philly. Gillick is a brilliant organizational architect and Ruben Amaro has squandered everything he built there fairly quickly. When the Braves knocked John Schuerholz upstairs was when they tailed off. He's only really intervened on coaching hires as far as I know.
