Yeah, but Votto and Phillips are getting older. I wish the Reds the best but the Cardinals still look like the team to beat in that division.

Votto is 30. Phillips is 32. The cardinals have nothing to do with this conversation you've made it clear you don't know the reds and probably only go by what you see on sports center.

My argument is that I don't see the Reds making the playoffs. The Cardinals are a chief reason why. Of course I don't know your team as well as you but I do read around so I'm not speaking out of my ass. Just having some baseball discussion.

You are speaking out of your ass though I never mentioned playoffs just wins. Which I think will be 89. This is essentially the same team from two seasons back that was better than last years and with a coach that will put people in their place.

Just because I don't think your team is as good as you say doesn't mean I don't have a decently informed opinion. How did that experiment with Chapman starting work out?

Chapman killed it in spring training every time they had him as a starter injuries in the bullpen kept him going back to closer.

Oo and you don't have a decently formed opinion based on the info you have countered with not because you don't think they will be good.

:| Your "they will be good because they were good with the same team two years ago" argument isn't solid either.

There's also no need for him to be a starter at this point we have a solid rotation with a really good prospect coming up if someone goes down.

Just give the Yanks the trophy now...no reason to go through this...They got pitching hitting and 3rd and 2nd base won't be that much of a problem. So wish I was a Yankee fan...Could kill my father and grandfather for doing this to me.

CC is all thin and ready...Jeter will prob have a great year for a finale..I see this shit coming

Yup. Only advantage the Yankees have is a short porch in right. You don't just replace a guy like Cano. Jeter isn't what he used to be. Beltran is good but is never healthy. McCann is on the decline. Pitching-wise, you lose Pettitte, Sabathia isn't an ace anymore, Kuroda isn't great, you have no idea what you're getting in Tanaka and you lose the best closer of all-time. Boston and Tampa have better rotations and better, more consistent bats. I don't get the Yankees obsession.

Not obsessed but Beltran can dh alot..short porch is a big plus...CC is due for a good year and Tanaka (though we don't know how he will fare in MLB) should be a ace considering his past record. We'll see. SHould be fun except for me. I'm a Mets fan. That's worse than a Detroit Lions fan by a long shot.

They've won World Series titles in the last 50 years, so no, it's not. I feel for Cubs fans though.
