With no Wilson, the back end of the bullpen has struggled. When Wilson comes back, you have probably the best late inning options in the game now with Bell to Wilson, assuming the starter can make it through the sixth or the seventh. Games like last night are absolutely unacceptable.
He won't come cheap, but the Giants aren't afraid to spend money. This is all assuming that a deal is made, and it very well couldn't and the Padres just take him off waivers, stopping the Diamondbacks from getting him. It's a win-win for the Giants.
By the way, I'm going to the game tonight. 5th time seeing Lincecum pitch and it's always a delight.

Thome wouldn't help a ton, he's hitting like what 250? We have enough underperforming hitters and now that Belt's found his power we're alright. It's going to take Beltran being Beltran and Huff/Schierholtz to end their slumps.
Good news, no more above .500 teams left for the rest of the year with exception to one team. The Diamondbacks. The ball is in their court.
after weeks/ months of the White Sox being like the crazy ex-girlfriend.....thank god the TIgers finally put them out of their misery today w/ an absolute brutal loss. Fuck this team. Buehrle and Konerko are absolute warriors tho, and they deserve far better than this.
lol aj pierjinzkey (fuck looking up how to spell his name) grounded into a double play with men on first and third one out in the bottom of the ninth...and then he threw his helmet and chased it down and kicked it...was funny as hell

Now arguably best bullpen in the NL.
EDIT: And they still have to work out a deal for him....he won't come cheap.

It's a shame Jim Thome and Jason Kubel are in the AL and not the NL. Either would help the Giants hit.
