He is set to go tomorrow. You have no idea how upset I am over this right now. I tried to go see him pitch last year was willing to skip work to go on a four game series and he pitched the day before they came here. Now this
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
lolno Jay. Beltran isnt that much of a difference maker, he's having a decent year, but he hasnt hit the Phillies well at all and he sucks from the right side and we have 2 dominate lefty's. And rumor is we're getting Pence or Upton for a right handed bat that will highly improve our O, but even if we dont i still know we have the better team.
btw... the fucking Pirated were absolutley robbed on a bullshit call at the plate, dood was out by a mile and they called him safe. that ump should be sent to single A. EPIC FAIL

World Series now.........who's Wheeler replacing in that rotation?
I was looking forward to seeing this rotation...
Lincecum Cain Wheeler Bumgarner ____________ (insert unnecessary 5th man here)
I've seen Wheeler pitch. He's the real fucking deal. This rotation would be one of the better ones in memory. Getting Beltrán, old and having an uncharacteristically awesome season this year, for one of the best pitching prospects in the game, doesn't make me happy.
I don't know who we're kidding, the Giants are not going to win the World Series again this year, with or without Beltrán. Keeping the young talent is more important.
The Giants rotation is just about on par with the Phillies rotation, if not slightly better, plus they have World Series rings. The only problem with the Giants is they can't hit. Beltran is an upgrade that could be just enough to put them back in the World Series.
Side note: When the Phillies rotation is healthy.....currently they are not.
Beltran is an injury riddled bum who is having a good year in a contract year. Beltran wont do shit for the Giants just liek he could never do nothing for the mets. He's well past his prime. I've watched Beltran fail for the past almost decade in the NLeast, he's nothing special and definatley isnt the missing piece for any team trying to win the series.
btw... Halladay and Hamels are Cy young canadites. Lee's having a decent year. ANd if noone noticed this guy Vance Worley that took over for Blanton is 8-2 with a 1.92 ERA, he's been the best on our rotation since june. Oswalt will be back in time for the playoffs. If this rotation stays healthy, theyre definately the best and I'm not saying that just cause I'm a fan.

Well, the Giants have proven that they can win a lot of games with virtually no offense. I think the acquisitions of Keppinger and Beltrán will make the offense present. I believe he will bring something to the table, for sure, but I don't think this makes them favorites for the Series.
As long as Zito doesn't pitch ever again ever ever ever, I think the Giants can be the best team in the game.
The Phils rotation still has to prove it come playoff time.......I think the NL is shaping up to provide some great playoff matchups. Giants, Phillies, Braves, and whoever comes out of that clusterfuck in the NL Central.

I'd shoot a man to see the Pirates make the playoffs. I would love that story so much. My dad and I have a conversation about the Royals and Pirates' farm system every fucking week.
I still think the team that people will regret not talking about is the Braves. That's an impressive ball club.

playoffs..... Halladay- no hitter first playoff appearance Hamels- NLCS and WS MVP Lee- 7-2 2.12 ERA Oswalt- 5-1 3.39 ERA
Umm jay you can't with with phillies boy here. There is no arguing with him he knows nothing outside of the Phillies and said that before.
I didnt say I didnt know anything, i said I could care less. If other teams are playing, I'll watch something else. I get all my baseball news from baseball tonight.

They won't skip a Lincecum start, so I bet he'll still pitch your day.
If it happens, Giants > Phillies in the NL.
Wheeler in 3 years > Beltran in 3 years.
