I have no problem talking baseball but.... A) I had a posting problem over the weekend I was, and am still more concerned with the Blackhawks right now. That being said, I will address your posts today if I have time.
He's hit 21 homers over the last two years after averaging like 35 a year in the early 2000s. Which of his RBI's has been your favorite this year? Oh wait......
He's been hurt for the second half of last year and some of this year. Every year he's been in Detroit, he's hit at or above .300. He was at 12 HR and 59 RBI when he got hurt last year. Had he not, he would have finished with 20-25 homers with 80-90 RBI, which is damn good. I don't get why you're hatin.....
Probably not because he had like 380 AB's already and he averaged about 520 a year for his career.
The point is he used to be an elite player, I'm talking one of the best hitters in the American League and an MVP caliber player. Every year it was 320. 35 HR 125 RBI's, he's a shell of his former self now and constantly gets hurt. A typical pattern for a player who was on the juice and got off of it. If you guys want to be blind to it, because he is a Tiger now, that's fine, but I just feel a little sad, annoyed, and duped by it, as a White Sox fan. I loved him when he was on the Sox. He had his own song and he seemed like he was gonna be an all time great player. The whole thing was a sham with him. I'm just happy he didn't help the Sox win the WS in 05', because it would have definitely taken something away from it.
tigers sweep sox...what is that 8 or 9 in a row against you guys CF?
Idk I can't make any excuses like you guys always do. the Sox are just playing horrible and I just don't get it. They made Brad Penny (who probably shouldn't even be in baseball) look like Cy Young. On paper they should be a really good team, but they can't do anything right, right now. It's very fucking frustrating.
They start a series in New York tonight, so who knows maybe thats what they need. They aren't beating the average/shitty teams, so maybe they need to play a good team.
I still think that they will win the division, but they seriously need to get it together. It's downright depressing right now. Luckily I am focusing more of my sports energy towards the Hawks right now, because the Sox are embarrassing right now.
There are players who are injury-prone and were never on the juice. Innocent until proven guilty. Magglio has never been linked to steroids, and until he is, I believe he was clean. He's still a career .300 hitter with good power numbers when healthy, but because of circumstance and because he ditched your team, you hate him.
tl;dr, u mad. Maybe someday you will acknowledge the Tigers actually have a decent team and that's why they swept the Sox.

If this doesn't assure you that Brian Wilson and Cody Ross are two of the greatest people to walk the face of the Earth, then you should be dead.
