the reds wont be in first all year man, sadly they wont even make the playoffs. its july1. you beat the phillies who have utley, polanco on IR, rollins just back after 2 months, half the bullpen is injured and 2 starters. It's nice to see the support for baseball in cincinatti though... *thumbs up*
Historically the reds are a bad team in June that is their worst month and when they fall apart. We are two games away from the halfway point and are 9 games above 500. Guess what June is over we are back in first and still maintaining. Number don't lie, the reds lead the nl in offense and comeback wins. Not to mention one of the best in the league as far as defense goes. Now I do not fault you for feeling the way you do on the reds hell most the people here are still waiting for them to fall apart instead of supporting them but there is one key factor this year, two if you want to get picky. The reds best pitcher hasn't played yet, but guess what he is returning next week and your phils will probably get to see him. Edinson valquez. Not only that the reds have a Cuban defect they picked up to be a starter. He can hit 103, we don't need him as a starter right now so after the all star break we will have a shiny new 103 mph left hand pitcher in our bullpen to ease those troubles. I think the reds will win 90 games this year I said it at the beginning of the season and i hold to it. But they are looking like they are prepared for more wins then that.
The reds starting tomorrow have an 11 game road trip. 4 at cubs, 3 at mets, 4 in Philly, this will be a big trip for the season and I think it's the trip where they will shut up the haters. But I am Biased. So do me a favor after this road trip tell me what you think.

hey man, if i was a reds fan i'd be excited too, i just see the cards winning that division and the wild card team coming from the east or west, prolly the west. i just know right now the phillies are being killed with injuries and the reds will prolly split or take three of the series in philly. but i'd rather have those injuries now than october. even with the phils closer out most of this year already, the setup man out since may, 2 starters out all year, rollins gone 2 months, and now utley and polanco gone for who knows how long, and theyre still only 2 games back. who knows, maybe this is the reds turn around year and we'll see you in the playoffs if this damn phils team can stay healthy, good luck!
