I have 5. I had 6. But yes, I don't have those same responsibilities. My dad's pissing me off right now because he doesn't want me to go to grad school or write a thesis. I'd really love to have the support of both my parents, but that doesn't seem like it'll happen.
I'm halfway through with Cry, The Beloved Country for Brit Lit and after that I'm reading 2001: A Space Odyessy for fun.
For the third time I tried to read Xenocide by Orson Scott Card (the third Ender book), but I just can't get into it like the other ones. Sort of ironic that I share my username with it and I can't even read it lol

I thought Xenocide was fantastic. I gave up reading the shadow saga. Enders Shadow was amazing, the next one was awful. Xenocide doesnt really start to unfold until you are half way though, and once you get there you understand why he went the route he did. it's good brah.
Okays. Can't borrow them then until we're rooming together then.
you two are going to room together? Why's that?
Multiple reasons. She's transferring up here in September. We get along. She doesn't know anyone here. I'm sick of random roommates and my only friends here are either guys or girls that commute/live off campus.

That's interesting, however surprising to me. I would have thought that either her or Alex would want to take the next step and minimize their relationship distance. If I was going to bet money, I would have guessed she would transfer out to Alex's school, because Alex doesnt strike me as the type of dude that would do that for her. Maybe I've misjudged Alex, and he really shouldnt take offense at this comment. I only know a small piece of his internet persona, which hardly puts me in a category of making accurate judgements about his character.
I understand how this roomie situation makes sense for you, just not sure it makes sense for her (or them) considering they seem to want this long-D thing to work. IMHO the success rate of a long-D relationship exponentially decreases with time. I commend them for making it as long as they have, but am under the opinion that they need to minimize that distance asap.
1) yes, you misjudge him because thats what hes doing 2) i have more schooling left than him and im not moving to AZ because its not my scene. i dont like heat, i dont like the bumblefuckness of it and im closer to my family than he is so its easier for him to leave them than it would be for me and hes completely fine with moving here since he loves it here
