I've always thought of them similarly, death/thrash, but if we were including death/thrash in there we'd also be including Crowned in Terror by The Crown.
To be frank, there are a lot of albums better than Hordes of Chaos.
1. Mutiny Within - S/T 2. The Dillinger Escape Plan - Option Paralysis 3. High On Fire - Snakes For The Divine 4. Sevendust - Cold Day Memory 5. As I lay dying - The Powerless Rise 6. Kingdom Of Sorrow Behind The Blackest Tears 7. Whitechapel A New Era Of Corruption 8. Taking Dawn - Time To Burn 9. Deftones- Diamond Eyes 10. Exodus - Exhibit B: The Human Condition 11. Soufly - Omen 12. Fear Factory - Mechanize
my honest answer, is because i have a life. i work 35 hours a week, and im starting school soon, which leaves me with very little free time. with that free time i like to go hang out with friends, or pursue other hobbies like my bass, video games, etc. if i could, id spend 24/7 listening to new music. but i cant. so with the little time i do have, im faced with the question: do i download the new cannibal corpse/slayer/kreator/insert other "popular band" here, or do i download some band ive never heard of outside of these forums?

I did it. I hope you admit your wrong. Otherwise, I want an album by album explanation of why Hordes of Chaos is better. Including Black Future.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Oops, I got a bit repetitive there.
Municipal Waste - Hazardous Mutation
Megadeth - Endgame
Laaz Rockit - Left For Dead
All better than Hordes Of Chaos.
Also, all of you should listen to Yakuza - Of Seismic Consequence. It is moving to the top of my list.
Are we counting Darkane as thrash now? I've never thought of them as so.

Until about a year or so ago, I didn't really care because I thought the best stuff would find me, but then I heard a little album called Metazoa...
your funny.
"why do people insist on support only the known?"
