Behringer HM-300 pedal. It's a copy of the discontinued Boss HM-2 pedal that Swedish death metal and grindcore bands use to get that buzzsaw guitar sound. 18 bucks on Ebay, so if it breaks or something and I really like it I can invest in the 50-60 dollar Boss pedal later.

I'm a bit confused as to what you're bitching about. The HM is the only pedal all of these bands have ever used and they've never found a pedal that has the same effect. There are some that do similar (like the DS-1) but none work as well. The tube screamer is an overdrive for a slight boost best for solos, the HM is an actual distortion.

I'm going to buy my amp and then decide what pedals I need. I may need a noise reduction pedal if I get the Peavey 6505+ but I might not need that until I get the guitar in my sig.

When I'm out of school and have a steady enough income to afford/manage a real amp, I'm getting a Dual Rectifier or an ENGL. Probably the Rectifier.
