Going out tomorrow (today) to pick up Revocation's Existence is Futile for them to sign Sunday and Cattle Decap's The Harvest Floor for them to sign next Wednesday.
So I went into FYE on Monday and wanted to pick up one of Dimmu Borgir's earlier albums when I saw Abrahadabra on the shelf. Thought it was coming out on Tuesday but then I thought it might have come out earlier and I just didn't know. So I picked it up and walked to the counter. The guy stared at me with this look and then very rudely questioned me about getting the album early. Realizing it wasn't released yet, I explained to him that I just saw it on the shelf and wanted to get it. He still acted all "wtf is wrong with you dumbass?" until he finally became calm and in a normal mood and just said something along the lines of he was joking around. He said he would sell me the album but he got yelled at last week for selling an album early. Apparently he put it on the shelf early because it takes such a long time putting out new albums and he said "I didn't wanna be hear until midnight doing that"
I was so close to getting it out of sheer luck that I happened to be at the mall that day....so I had to drive up to best buy last night and pick it up after marching band practice. Since then I've listened to the whole thing and can say this is an amazing album. I wasn't too sure if I should go out and buy the album but it is a band, orchestra, chorus, heavy album that is ready to kick your ass. Shagrath's vocals are great, the guitars sound great as well and I can't get over the orchestra/band/chorus they have. I would definitely go out and buy this album. One of the best purchases I've made all year
