oh and didn't they steal the weapons from their parents? so in a sense they didn't obtain them legally. im not entirely sure of the process but in order to buy any gun you need to go through a background check and get permits. i dont think hardcore criminals do that.

that's fine because i don't think your points are very realistic, no offense though. if those kids' parents didn't own assault rifles do you think they woulda been like "fuck it. im not killing anybody today because i dont have an AR" or do you think they woulda grabbed the other guns and killed people anyway?

Private sellers at gun shows can sell you anything without a background check, ID, or any sort of information. All you do is show them the money and the guns are yours. That's what the government needs to crack down on and shut down.
I have no problem banning assault rifles to be honest im just tired of the argument and think its a stupid knee jerk reaction.
Now I want to point something out to you. Illegal drugs, how easy is it for me to drive 15 minutes away and get just about any drug I can think of. Completely illegal yet I can get it. Same thing will happen with banned guns.

dood your missing the whole point... your not gonna kill 25 people with a handgun.. these are guns that shoot hundreds of rounds of ammunition in a matter of seconds.. a handun would shoot like 50 tops hugeeee difference

oh i see what you mean now. i didn't understand your reasoning, sorry. i thought it was just that "ban them so we don't have to deal with the real problem" mentality. yeah i agree on your point that there would have been far less injuries/casualties if they only used hand guns/shotguns etc. but i still politely disagree on the topic if they should be banned
