    found this on urban dictionary

    Black People Time
Also know as BPT, is the mean solar time at which the average black person arrives, adopted as the standard time in a zone that includes all African Americans. BPT delays usually run from 15-45 minutes. =))

WOW how racist and stereotypical. Color doesnt matter all people arrive all at different times regardless of race

lolz yeah...i just thought it was funny mostly this part "BPT delays usually run from 15-45 minutes."

and my opinion on assholes making music:

it's not a death sentence afaic to be a dipshit, but if I know an artist is it makes it a lot harder for me to like or even pay attention to their music. some things are just unforgivable, but they're few and far between. white metal immediately comes to mind. christian people shouldn't even try to play that type of music. i'm usually gonna ignore any music that's based around christianity. there are exceptions. johnny cash comes to mind. it's hard though

Agreed, if somebody is expressing opinions I don't agree with in their music it's going to detract from the experience as a whole.

It's like why I enjoy AILD but not TDWP. AILD as a band are (or at least used to be) Christian, but their lyrics instead focus on universal philosophy and struggle. TWDP instead write lyrics that condescend towards metalheads and nonbelievers.

Are there even any Muslim metal bands? If so, do inform me, but the only metal bands I know of that mention Islam in the music are anti-Islam black metal bands from Iraq

Well I know they practice the religion, but do they preach it in their lyrics?

i was raised atheist, so religious music usually get a big thumbs down from me. the reason i will still listen to satanic music is because i believe most of it to be tongue in cheek in its approach. actually, if i know someone is a practicing satanist, i tend to have the same feelings towards them as i do with christians. i think religion is just plain stupid in any form. there are some things that just shouldn't mix at all. i feel like using subversive music to promote mainstream ideals is wack as fuck. i've always hated seeing christian metal and punk bands. both genres were borne of an initial need to reject the trappings of mainstream culture and there's nothing more mainstream in our culture than christianity. i guess i wouldn't be much friendlier towards other religions as well, but you don't really see much jewish or muslim metal.

and on slap's post, the only one i can think of that even comes close is melechesh
  • MenAreTrashMenAreTrash Posts: 27,667 spicy boy
I"m pretty sure Melechesh just talk about Sumerian and Mesopotamian mythology
  • NolaFree810NolaFree810 Posts: 36,796 moneytalker
yeah i agree i hate when people are all like " i hate satanic bands just as much I dont believe in any god la-di-da" its like dood, theyre not being literal, they dont go home and worship satan its just an anti - religion stance theyre making to be obscene

Not really. You should ask the MA forums.
