So I only have one class on Tues/Thurs, and I almost skipped it today because I have a powerpoint to do for a club meeting tonight. Anyways, I knew that we were only going over a couple chapters for the next test but the last one wasn't long ago at all, so I figured I was safe. I still checked my email last night for any kind of notification (the only one from this teacher being about how well everyone did on the last test) as well as the syllabus (which showed we only had three tests for the semester, the last one being during finals week). However, I still decided to go to class today since we wouldn't have it on Thurs and I wanted to make sure not to miss any special announcements about the end of the semester.
So turns out, test #3 was actually today, and test #4 is during finals week. I asked my professor about it and he said he had mentioned it in class (I believe him, I just couldn't believe I didn't catch it). The worst part about all of this is that these tests are all written answers, and if you study they aren't really a problem, but if you don't you're pretty much screwed. I've done well in this class and actually enjoyed it up to this part, it just sucks that this one overlook on my part is gonna cost me at least 1 letter grade, possibly 2.
I don't know how I missed it, like I procrastinate all the time and I'm not always the most organized but I've never made a mistake this huge. In the end I'll still pass the class easily and it's not going to ruin my GPA or anything, but it's quite frustrating to say the least. Anyways, that's my rant, stay up to date on test days kids.
I'll probably get there the day before. I'm going with my parents and another friend of mine. Don't really know the details yet, all I know right now is that I'll for sure be there that day.
It's not dirty, it's just there are two areas, the top of my desk and under my bed, that are organized messes, so to anybody not me it seems like a bunch of trash. I'm just saying, if we're supposed to be adults in college and all that shit, then we shouldn't have people telling us to clean our rooms. It's dumb.
But I'm renting it. Do landlords check in with all their tenants to see if they keep their shit clean/organized? If so, I'll shut up, but if not, my point stands.
Also, it's not like a hurricane hit my room. I had my books under my bed and some papers on my desk.

Some apartment complexes do routine checks to make sure residents aren't ruining the apartment. Plus, they usually require a deposit, and if you don't leave the property as nice as you found it, you do not get the deposit back.

You're not renting from the private sector though. They likely have additional health, safety, and fire codes to deal with, similar to how Brit couldn't go back in her building without power due to the fire systems being out. Different places have different rules. You can rent a place and still be told when the grass has to be cut, what direction to cut it, how long a garbage can is allowed to sit outside, where to park, how to maintain the place, how many cars you can have etc.
