What's fucked about Xbox raising their prices on the series consoles is that they're the same exact hardware as when they released at that price point years ago. Ffs there's no way the tariffs are more than the decreased cost of manufacture since then
Yea that shit is absolutely fucking retarded. Never in the history of gaming has a console RAISED it’s price. Usually by year 5 of the console is when you start seeing the bundles for $100 off or something so they can try and inflate their late sales. It’s especially confusing because they’ve made it clear they’re trying to shift their business model away from hardware and focus on Game Pass and streaming, hence “Anything is an Xbox.”, so doing this when it’s only going to reduce hardware sales even worse is completely braindead.
I do believe that the Series X may end up being the last generation of physical Xbox like others have predicted tho. I can see them going ahead and making Game Pass available on PlayStation and Switch and jus cashing in on that by making it playable everywhere. Especially since they’re already bringing all their exclusives to PlayStation now. It’s going to make a new gen Xbox pointless to own. The best Xbox is already a PC lmao. I could see new “Xboxes” potentially being like Xbox branded PCs or some shit, maybe wit a proprietary version of Windows on em to give em a more streamlined console-like experience so they’re less “difficult” than standard PCs. Similar to how the upcoming Xbox handheld is basically jus a rebranded Ally. So it’s a Windows PC handheld, not even a handheld console like a Vita or something.
That much I could tell, even on my phone, the framerate was kinda jumpy. Makes perfect sense because resolution and textures like that are NOT going to perform immaculately on a console, not even on the Pro. Which is exactly why it’s such a letdown that they’re not launching on PC. A high end PC is the ONLY platform that will be able to run a game that resource intensive the way that it should. Anything else is a compromise. And you still might be able to achieve a pretty damn good looking compromise, but it’s still a compromise nonetheless. And that’s not preference that’s jus facts.

I know its just a trailer but that thing was immaculate. Probably the best trailer off all time for games.
Even the way they open it up is great. Talking about "fixing some leaks" lmao
