If you thought women were crazy when they are pregnant, you should see them the 6 months after they have the baby.

I have an opportunity to potentially get a job at an insurance company. I would likely take a pay cut if I get it, but could potentially be making more than I am now in a few years if I stick with it.

Or should I pursue a trade? Ive been considering trade school for like electrician or something. Will take 5 years, but I'll be making more than I am now after 5 years.

I dont know what to do. I personally dont think Im smart enough for anything beyond warehouse work, tbh, so that's option 3.

🤦🏻‍♂️ Well yea wit that mindset you won’t be doing anything else. What do you think school is for? To learn things you previously didn’t know.

I wasn’t “smart enough” to properly cut hair before, been grinding away at school and now I’m getting there. It’s not rocket science.

Well what's the deal with the insurance company?

How big of a pay cut is it, and what are the requirements? I assume you have to get licensed right?

I assume the test is similar in your state. I can tell you it is not an easy test at all. Something like 50% of people fail it the first time and a good percentage never pass. While it's a hard test if you study the right way, it becomes a much easier test.

If you do take a job and they pay for your license and traning, don't give them any loyalty until they have really earned it.

Once you are licensed you can keep it forever pretty easily. And you can work remotely for anyone in the country pretty much.

Like if I lose my job, I'll easily have another one in a week. But the point is the opportunity is endless when it comes to who you can work for across the country.

I dont know yet. My mom was talking with her friend and mentioned I cant get a job. Her friend said "yea, job market is really bad right now. You cant get a job unless you know somebody... my husband works in an insurance company and needs a good employee. He keeps firing people because young people dont want to work hard anymore" blah blah

Basically said if Im interested, to reach out to her husband. I believe its for a claims adjuster position.

Basically will equate to roughly $500 a month pay decrease, accounting for my current job pays 100% of my insurance, and Id not only be making less than I do now upon switching, but will have to start paying my insurance again too
