I'm playing through LOU for the first time and i'm not that far in but the atmosphere is insane. I was playing with headphones on and one thing that really got to me is you can hear Ellie quietly sobbing when you're in that subway station full of clickers at the beginning. It freaked me the fuck out.
Yeah dude. Like playing through uncharted i can definety see how naughty dog learned how to make a story and then perfected it with last of us. That game did somethings to me emotionally that 0 games have done since.
The LOU didnt impress me that much. It didnt live up to the hype for me.
But Mega Man is the best thing ever.
Blow your head off.
Dude, Mega Man certainly was revolutionary for the NES days. Sure, its not a technical marvel by today's standards, the story is confusing, convoluted, and stitched together, and the gameplay doesnt really change much between games (at least within a series). But they're really fun, classic games. Plus I like pixel art graphics. They dont pretend to be something theyre not. They're my favorite games, but I understand if people want more.
The Last of Us tried to be some console ending marvel. They talked up the stealth mechanic, the graphics, the fact that enemies will hear when your out of ammo and go from defensive to offensive, that the option to throw bricks to distract will be revolutionary.
The stealth system was the same as past stealth games. Nothing that hadnt been done before. The gun sound and distraction mechanic were bare bones. Things they talked up didnt live up to the hype.
The story was generic. A basic zombie story where someone has an immunity. Basically every zombie game plot. Uncharted may have drawn similarities to Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider, but it didnt come off as generic.
Sure the graphics are gorgous, but what late last gen early this gen game wasnt? I feel like I said the same thing when Uncharted 3 came out, Halo 2 remaster, Arkham Knight, and now Uncharted 4. It'll be surpassed in a few games.
The atmosphere was well done. But again, nothing like the atmosphere in most horror games.
Then they pissed me off rereleasing it on PS4 inmediately after launch. Why hype it as the last great PS3 game instead of the first great PS4 game? It was disingenous to me.
Then the fanboys pissed me off. Treating it like a holy relic unable to be criticised. Saying it was the best game ever conceived. When it really wasnt.
Like I said 100 times, it wasnt even the best game of the year. Bioshock Infinite shat hard on The Last of Us. LOU isnt even the best Naughty Dog game imo, as I like the Uncharted, and Jak & Daxter games more. Nor the best PS3 game, as I again, liked Uncharted more, as well as Littlebigplanet, inFAMOUS, Ratchet and Clank, and Demons Souls more.
Dont get me wrong, its a great game, but overrated a shit. The single most overrated game of all time.
I was hyped for it too. I bought all the prequel comics. The special edition game with an art book, soundtrack, and steel book case. Preordered it. Everything. And I was dissappointed. I enjoyed it, but wasnt blown away.
I wasnt even interested enough to try the multiplayer, play through the game a second time, or even buy/play the DLC story expansion.
Rumor is that Crash Bandicoot is making a comeback.....as a Skylanders character
Nah they squashed that rumor last night thankfully
Where?
My little brother is huge on Crash and is updated on everything they're doing with him. He showed me an article last night where a Skylanders rep denied that rumor. When I see him I'll ask so I can officially source it for you.
I think I'm going to pick up LOU for the PS4 soon. MC you're literally the only negative review I've ever heard of the game. Plus my buddy has been wanting someone to online it with. Might cop in a week or two.

My review isnt negative other than its not the best game ever made.

Yeah cuz i'm googling and i'm not finding anything. Plus the whole reason the rumor started is because there is a tab on Skylanders actual website that was labeled "Crash" but it didnt work and was taken down a while later.
Turns out I was actually mistaken. It was some you tube douche he watches that posted something along the lines of it being a squashed rumor. I did some research for myself and saw the Crash tab leaks and what not .Shit is gay as Fuck. This is worse than him not coming back lol

ky you realize that uncharted 4 is basically a rip off of national treasure two right?
Uncharted isnt the best game of all time. But its the best on the PS3.
At least I admit its good. My best friend thought it sucked.
I give it an 8/10. Not a 10/10.
